Six QR Types in One Tool

UPI: for receiving payments — works with PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, BHIM, and every other UPI app. URL: turn any website link into a QR for posters, business cards, or product packaging. Text: short messages, addresses, notes. WiFi: share your network credentials so guests join with one camera scan. Phone: tap-to-call directly from the QR. Email: open a pre-filled email composer.

QR Code for Receiving UPI Payments

For shopkeepers, freelancers, and event organizers — generate a UPI QR with your VPA (virtual payment address) so customers can pay instantly without typing your UPI ID. You can lock the amount (useful for fixed-price tickets) or leave it blank for variable payments. Print the QR and laminate for shop counters. All major UPI apps recognize the standard `upi://pay` format used here.

Privacy and Security

QR codes are not encrypted — anyone who scans yours can decode its content. Never encode passwords, OTPs, or banking credentials. WiFi QRs in particular embed the password in plain text. Use only for networks you intend to share. For best scan reliability, print at high contrast (black on pure white) at the size suited to your scan distance — small for close-range, large for posters and banners.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a UPI QR code work?
A UPI QR encodes your UPI ID, optional payee name, and optional amount in the format upi://pay?pa=...&pn=...&am=... When scanned by any UPI app (PhonePe, GPay, Paytm, BHIM), it auto-fills the payment screen. Generated codes work for shops, freelance invoices, and event payments.
Will my WiFi QR work on any phone?
Yes, on all modern Android (8+) and iOS (11+) devices. The QR uses the standard WIFI:T:WPA;S:ssid;P:password;; format. Scan with the default camera app — the phone offers to join the network in one tap. Some older phones may need a QR scanner app.
What size QR should I generate?
Small (200×200) — for digital sharing, WhatsApp, email signatures. Medium (400×400) — for printed posters, business cards, product packaging. Large (600×600) — for printed banners, walls, large signs. Larger QRs scan faster and from greater distance.
Are QR codes secret?
No — anyone with the QR can decode its content. Don't encode passwords or sensitive credentials. For WiFi QR codes, the password is encoded in plain text and visible to anyone who scans it. Use only for networks you're happy to share access to.
Is the QR generated on a server?
No. The code is generated entirely in your browser using the QRious library. Nothing — your UPI ID, WiFi password, or message text — is sent anywhere. The page works offline once loaded.
