Common Uses

Sharing admit cards on WhatsApp — convert the PDF to JPG so it shows as an image preview instead of a file. Extracting result pages for editing, redacting personal info, or saving to phone gallery. Uploading single pages to forms that don't accept multi-page PDFs. Printing photos embedded in PDF certificates at a regular photo shop. Archiving important documents as JPGs alongside the original PDF.

How Quality Affects Output

The tool uses a scale factor (1.5× or 2.5×) when rendering each page. A higher scale produces larger, sharper images but takes longer to process and increases file size. For 1-2 page PDFs, choose High. For 20+ page documents, Standard is faster and produces JPGs adequate for screen viewing. If you need to combine the extracted JPGs back into a PDF later, use the JPG to PDF tool.

Privacy Note

This tool uses Mozilla's open-source PDF.js library running entirely in your browser. The PDF file, its contents, and the extracted JPGs never leave your device. This is the same engine Firefox uses to display PDFs — well-tested, secure, and handles 99% of real-world PDFs including scanned documents. Password-protected PDFs are not supported; remove the password first using Adobe Reader's "Save As" with no password.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why convert a PDF to JPG images?
Many situations: extracting your admit card photo to share on WhatsApp, saving certificate scans for printing, getting result pages as images for editing, converting e-stamp papers to upload to forms that don't accept PDFs. JPGs are universally readable on any phone or device.
What quality should I choose?
Standard (1.5×) — fast, good for screen viewing and WhatsApp sharing. High (2.5×) — slower but produces print-quality images suitable for documents you intend to print. Choose based on what you'll do with the JPGs.
Can it handle password-protected PDFs?
No. Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened by the browser-based engine for security reasons. Remove the password using your PDF viewer's "Save As" with no password, then upload here.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF is parsed and rendered entirely in your browser using PDF.js. No file data leaves your device. This is especially important for sensitive documents like Aadhaar, admit cards, or bank statements.
How do I download all pages at once?
After conversion, click "Download All Pages". This triggers each JPG as a separate download with a 300ms gap to avoid browser pop-up blocking. Your browser may ask to "Allow multiple downloads" — click Allow.
