When You Need a Combined Image

Some banking and recruitment portals — notably IBPS PO, SBI Clerk, certain state cooperative banks, and a few PSU exam forms — require a single uploaded image containing your passport photo on top and signature below. This tool combines them into the standard 200×330 layout (photo 200×260 + signature 200×70) and lets you customize dimensions for non-standard portals.

Best Practices for Signature Upload

Sign on plain white A4 paper with a black or dark blue gel pen. Avoid lined or ruled paper. Scan or photograph in good light, then use the Background Remover if the paper has shadows or yellow tint. The signature should fill at least 70% of the strip width. After joining, use the Image Resizer to hit the exact KB target your portal requires.

Standard Layouts

IBPS / SBI: 200×330 (photo 200×260 + sign 200×70), under 50KB. Railway RRB: 200×260 photo and 140×60 signature, uploaded separately. UPSC: 350×350 photo and 350×100 signature, uploaded separately. SSC: 100×120 photo and 140×60 signature, uploaded separately. Check your specific notification PDF for the exact specs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do banks ask for a combined photo and signature?
Some banking portals (notably IBPS PO, SBI Clerk, and a few state cooperative banks) require a single uploaded file containing photo on top and signature below. This is to simplify verification — the operator sees both in one frame without switching files.
What is the standard size for a combined photo-signature image?
Most portals accept 200×330 pixels (photo 200×260 + signature 200×70). Some accept any size as long as photo is on top and signature below. Final file should be JPG, typically under 50KB.
Should I upload color or black-and-white signature?
Always upload a clear, dark-ink signature on a white background. Black ink works best for both color and grayscale scans. Avoid blue ink — it can appear faint when compressed. Sign on plain white paper, not lined or ruled.
Is my photo and signature uploaded anywhere?
No. Both images are processed entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to any server. The combined image is generated locally and made available for direct download.
What if the joined image is too big in KB?
After generating the joined image, download it and then use the Image Resizer tool to compress it to the exact KB size your portal requires (usually 20–50KB).
